San Francisco Chinatown
My friend and I ended up at this restaurant in Chinatown in San Francisco because he desperately needed to use the restroom. As I waited at a table, an older woman who was the only server sat down and chatted with me. We were still coming out of the pandemic, so the city was relatively empty, but the familiarity of the place and her demeanor made me feel welcome as an Asian American.
