Taiko Dynamo
During the Orange County Buddhist Church’s 60th anniversary, a young Japanese American taiko performer embodies cultural identity through the dynamic art of drumming. I chose this photograph for entry because of the visible joy on the boy’s face and the vibrant energy it conveys.
